چکیده
This paper reviews recent advances in the interdisciplinary area lying between artificial intelligence and the theory of argumentation. The paper has two distinct foci: first, examining the ways in which argumentation has inspired new models of logical and computational intelligence; and second, exploring how AI techniques have been used and extended to model and handle real world argument in a wide variety of domains including law, education, medicine and e-commerce.

Latest News in Computational Argumentation: Surfing on the Deep Learning Wave, Scuba Diving in the Abyss of Fundamental Questions
Mining arguments from natural language texts, parsing argumentative structures, and assessing argument quality are among the recent challenges tackled in computational argumentation. While advanced deep learning models provide state-of-theart performance in many of these tasks, much attention is also paid to the underlying fundamental questions. How are arguments expressed in natural language a...
متن کاملComputational Modeling of 2-sided Message’s Effects on Perceived Argument Strength
The aim of this research is studying of 2-sided message’s effects on persuasiveness of anti-drug messages by computational modeling method. It’s been done for getting more effective and more persuasive messages. Persuasiveness of messages is measured be perceived argument strength of them which is determined by audiences. In this research, according to formative researches, a method for measuri...
متن کاملSpecial issue: Computational models of natural argument
The international workshop on Computational Models of Natural Argument (CMNA) is the longest standing venue focussed on Argument and Computation, with its inception in 2001. During the lifespan of CMNA, many other international venues have been constituted (see Table 1), most notably the ArgMAS workshops focusing on Agents since 2004, the biennial COMMA conference series focusing on computation...
متن کاملModels and recursivity
It is commonly held that the natural numbers sequence 0, 1, 2, . . . possesses a unique structure. Yet by a well known model theoretic argument, there exist non-standard models of the formal theory which is generally taken to axiomatize all of our practices and intentions pertaining to use of the term “natural number.” Despite the structural similarity of this argument to the influential set th...
متن کاملRecent advances on nano delivery of Helix mucus pharmacologically active components
Bioactive products from snail slime of “Helix” specie have potential applications in preventing and/or treating several human diseases and in cancer diagnosis. However, the poor pharmacokinetics characteristics of these natural compounds limit their use. Nanotechnology offers promising solutions for the enhanced formulation of these molecules through the synthesis of nanosized drug del...
